Player Evaluations for Spring 2024 - February 3rd!

Player Evaluations for the Spring 2024 baseball season will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at the home of Oxnard Youth Baseball, located at Eastwood Memorial Park, 1401 N. F Street in Oxnard. Times are as follows:

8:00AM - Mustang (10U) & Bronco (12U)
10:30AM - Pinto (8U) and Pony (14U)
12:00PM - Shetland (6U)

Participating in the Player Evaluation Day helps to introduce players new and returning to their respective divisions, coaches, managers, and player agents. Player Evaluations help coaches to evaluate the starting point for each player's ability to hit, catch, and throw. That helps us to build competitive and fair teams. Attendance at Player Evaluations is not mandatory. If a player is unable to attend, they will be assigned randomly to a team through a "hat pick" and are not eligible to be drafted. However, all players must participate in Player Evaluations to be eligible for nomination to a Select Team for Spring 2024.

Players should dress comfortably and bring their own glove, helmet, and bat. When selecting a bat for your player, please keep the PONY Baseball Standards in mind. For more information, visit USA Baseball Bat Standard. OYB also allows bats that meet USSSA standards for regular season play.
